I worked with your Grandfather at GM Styling, now Design Center. I was in Preliminary Design Studio with Bernie Smith. He was a real gentleman, very intelligent and very sophisticated. He often gave me good advice
and I benefitted from his positive criticism. At that time I was one of the younger designers and he was one of the old guard, it was about 1965. I met your Grandmother several times and I think he had a daughter, maybe your Mother? I never did see any of his work and it is a delight to see the above piece. He had lofty ideals about design and was always encouraging and inspirational.
